Dress rehearsal: journalists to predict a dramatic final /21.05.2005 14:43
Dress rehearsal of Eurovision final was held yesterday in the evening. According to approximate calculations three and a half thousand viewers have attended Sports Palace in a day. Just after Moldavian band Zdob si Zdub appeared the whole audience stood up and kept standing until the guys ended with their performance. Something incredible happened when GreenJolly went up to the stage. Though, with Klychkos the whole concert hall bursted out in a storm of applause.

2005 Eurovision debutants advocated a live performance /20.05.2005 13:09
At the press conference held in Kyiv Cinema House soloist Glam from Norwegian Wig Wam band called the contest music to be performed exclusively in live format. That was the Norwegian’s reaction on the remark of Moldavian “Zdob si Zdub” band leader Roman Yagupov who said that playback singing is harder to perform than a live one.

Dress rehearsals of the semifinal: everything under control? /19.05.2005 16:17
The first two dress rehearsals of the ESC 2005 semifinal have finished. According to the ticket sellers, some 4 thousand people, including over 250 foreign journalists, attended the first two rehearsals meant to let the contestants get used to the stage and enable camera men and sound technicians to adjust their equipment.

Heart of Europe flared up on Maidan /19.05.2005 12:58
A grandiose show devoted to the anniversary Eurovision Song Contest opening is the culmination of “Ukraine is A Heart of Europe” program initiated and developed by Kyivstar Company. Ruslana, last year’s contest winner, lit the symbolic metal construction in shape of heart. And that was actually the program’s closing ceremony. Concurrently, the same hearts flashed in five the biggest Ukrainian cities. These symbols of unity between Ukrainians and Europeans will burn until 2005 Eurovision Contest closes.

Till recently Ruslana has been known as the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 host, but finally everything changed. Unpredictable Maria Yefrosinina, known as a presenter of the ‘Pidyom’ (‘Wake Up’) morning program at the Novy Kanal TV channel, will assume the role of the Contest host. So in the interview to our reporter, Maria is telling about how she happened to become the host, her own preparation to the mission and impressions of it.
